Venue Information The Wachovia Center is a state-of-the-art arena for the city of Philadelphia. Home to the Philadelphia Flyers and 76ers, the Wachovia Center was planned and built over a period of 8 years. The Wachovia Center houses more than sports entertainment. The Wachovia Center was also previously known as the CoreStates Center until 1998 when it was name the First Union Center. In 2003 the name changed to the Wachovia Center.
