It’s estimated that Pennsylvania has over 2 million bird watchers. If you’re one of these, then come to this program to learn how you can be counted among the thousands of volunteer bird watchers of all ages and skill levels who are helping to insure that the 2nd PBBA reaches its primary goal of gathering information essential for planning the most effective possible bird conservation efforts in Pennsylvania in the decades ahead. The 2nd PBBA is a 5-year volunteer-based effort to document the occurrence and distributions of more than 200 breeding bird species throughout the state. Bob Mulvihill, 2nd PBBA Project Coordinator, will describe the goals and results of the state’s first (1984-1989) and second (2004-2008) breeding bird atlases.
